Information for Parents Regarding Special Education Services for 2020-2021

The TBLSEC recognizes there may be many questions for families with students with exceptionalities as we begin the 2020-2021 school year with options regarding learning environments and special education services. The determination of services lies with the IEP team. The student's IEP team, including the parent, should start by thinking about the district’s general education curriculum through the different learning environments. All services and supports are intended to provide the student with access to the general education curriculum to the maximum extent appropriate. CHIEFS Red Day!

This is an exciting time for Kansas City! For the first time in 50 years, Kansas City is coming together to celebrate the Chiefs' Super Bowl WIN and being World Champions! Because we will likely not have enough substitutes and anticipate low attendance in our schools, there will be no school on the Chiefs Kingdom Champions Parade day, Wednesday, February 5, 2020. 

Pending any change in the celebration date, Basehor-Linwood students will be back in session Thursday, February 6th. We encourage our students, families and staff to safely enjoy the events of this momentous occasion!
